Faculty of Engineering and Architecture

The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Fourah Bay College provides specialized training in engineering and architectural disciplines. The faculty equips students with technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and innovative thinking to address real-world challenges in infrastructure, technology, and sustainable development. The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture prepares students for careers in engineering, architecture, and urban development by providing practical and theoretical knowledge essential for industry and research.

Degree Programs

The faculty offers Bachelor’s degrees in the following disciplines:

  •       Civil Engineering
  •       Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Telecommunication, Computer, and Power Generation options)
  •       Mechanical & Maintenance Engineering
  •       Mining Engineering
  •       Architecture

Admission Criteria:

5 (five) GCE ‘O’ Level/WASSCE credits (Grades A1-C6) in not more than two sittings.

Subjects must be from the following categories:

Specific Requirements:

  •     C6 in English Language and C5 in three subjects from Category A and B.
  •    Candidates with ‘A’ Levels (Mathematics and either Physics or Chemistry) can gain Year II entry.
  •    Candidates with OND (Pass or Credit) plus C6 in English will be admitted into Year I.
  •    Candidates with OND + HND (Pass) will be admitted into Year II.
  •    Candidates with OND + HND (Credit) will be admitted into Year III.

Diploma and Certificate Courses

Diploma in Urban and Municipal Waste Management

Provides specialized training in urban waste handling, sanitation, and environmental management.

Certificate in Urban and Municipal Waste Management

A foundational program for individuals seeking knowledge in waste management and environmental sustainability.
