The Faculty of Accounting and Finance of the Institute of Public Administration, and Management (IPAM) University of Sierra Leone is a provider of high quality academic and professional education in Accounting, Banking and Finance. Our emphases are on;

Due to the rich programmes that is in great demand by industry and the level of staff who are academically and professionally equipped to educate students for the workforce, the faculty has been, and remains, top choice for the majority of students over the years. It is well regarded because of the high quality of its alumni and the success of its students nationally and internationally. Committed to the promotion of knowledge through teaching, research and community service, the faculty also has committed to promote exchange programmes for both faculty and students through its worldwide partnerships.
The faculty currently has three departments that offer the following three postgraduate and six undergraduate programmes:

The faculty benefitted from the pedagogy training organised by the University of Sierra Leone through the Academic Staff Association (ASA). As part of the college's capacity development programme, the faculty also organised a research and publication workshop in 2022. A good number of faculty members are actively involved in collaborative research, with academics from other faculties and academic institutions.
The faculty has, in partnership with external partners, re-launched two Student's Associations: The Association of Accounting Students (AAS) was launched in partnership with the National Revenue Authority (NRA) with the Chairperson of NRA Mrs. Tuma Jabbie as Keynote Speaker. The Financial Services Association (FINNSA) was launched with the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank Dr. Ibrahim Stevens as the Keynote Speaker.
The Faculty also partnered with Rokel Commercial Bank (RCB) to launch the curriculum of the Executive Master in Banking and Finance (EMBA) at the New Freetown City Council Auditorium.
We also have established a committee to work with the Central Bank of Sierra Leone (BSL), National Revenue Authority (NRA) and the Auditor General Department to sponsor and jointly deliver the Executive Master in Banking and Finance, Master in Financial Economics, BSc. in Financial Economics and the BSc. in Auditing, Taxation and Internal Controls Programmes.
